Jr. & Sr. High group organize projects for others and gather for fun outings with each other.
The Youth Group at CVUMC has taken on an active role not only within the church, but in the community as well. The Youth Group meets every Wednesday night from 6:30-7:30. During this time we enjoy fellowship with one another by sharing the word of God through scripture and messages lead by our four fantastic Youth Leaders. After the message we always engage in group activities that not only bring a smile to our faces, but help to bring us closer together. The Youth Group not only meets on Wednesday nights but meet monthly to participate in group activities or community service projects. During the Spring the Youth Group participates in the Paper Angel ministry which helps the residents of Midvale Housing by supplying them with essentials such as toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and many other things. Our Youth Group not only participates in service projects, weekly meetings, and bonding activities; but we love making new friends. The Church itself offers a warm and open environment for all youth, and the Youth Group is the same. Loving God, Connecting with others, and Serving the World are all parts of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, and let me tell you; this Youth Group has a heart on fire for God, we love meeting new people, and we participate in service projects that benefit the community. Cherry Valley United Methodist Church may be small, but within those walls, the Youth Group is ready to make disciples of Jesus Christ, we are ready to help change the world.
